Noodling on the plane
Probably the most powerful app I have on my iPhone is Nanostudio, an amazing $15 multitrack digital audio workstation that allows you to create beats and synth riffs on the fly.
Unfortunately, I don’t use it very often. I usually do most of my music-making on the piano or the full-sized PC, and Nanostudio remains untapped.
So while soaring at 10,000 feet the other day, I decide to jam on the app instead of succumbing to the usual time suckage that is Bejeweled 2.
It’s a little rough (it’s hard to edit MIDI in turbulence), but I had a good time trying to crafting a little tuneage on a two-hour flight using only my iPhone. Hope you enjoy it.
